CAS 110: Letter

This is my second entry to Casology for their week 110 challenge: Letter.

I am not sure how this card could fit for the suggested cue word
but I was much enjoyed making this card.

Hope all of card makers who visit my blog and see this card
"get inspired and live inspired!"

Casology Week 110: Letter

Hello! My craft friends.

I am here, alive and back for the challenges.
It's been a while since I uploaded my cards last summer.
I am very glad (and even excited) that I am back to my blog.

Today, I have a simple card for the challenge over at Casology.

This week's cue word is LETTER.
I interpreted the cue literally and played with letters, that is the alphabet. :)

For this card, grap a couple of Copic Sketch markers, color 3/4 area of the white cover from the up and stamp the alphabet randomly.
For the person who receive this letter(card), I hide a message in alphabet stamping.

Can you find the hidden message?  hehe :)

#materials I used for this card:
copic sketches (YG95/ T1/ YR02/ YR04/ YR31/ Y17)
PTI white card stock,
Michaels recollections clear stamp: fun borders
Memento tuxedo black ink

That's it for today. Thanks for your visit.

Vintage Santa

Good evening my crafty friends!

I am here to share a card I made for FF's challenge. The challenge(FFC10) is about creating any vintage holiday projects.

Oh! ladies, "vintage" is not so close to my craft style.
I haven't been familiar with any vintage themes since I was aware of my cardmaking style as either Clean And Simple or Clean and Graphical.

So it is...tough for me for this time but I came up with this card anyway.
I tried to keep the look as simple as possible sticking around my CAS style but not to lose some points of vintage mood. What are those points?

To give vintage effect, I chose a vintage Santa stamp from Paper Artsy and stamped it on  a aged look pattern paper. Then I colored the image with some brown copic markers. I trimmed the patterned paper into a panel and glued it to a textured brown cardbase. As a finishing touch, I used the technique "inking the edge" with a gold DecoColor Paint Maker
I brushed the tip randomly around the brown cardbase and the panel. It looked amazing and seemed to add more interest to my card.

Can I say that I would add one more style in my cardmaking, which is SAV: simple and vintage? What do you think?

Thanks for visiting my blog.

Peace, Hope, Love

* This card was featured as SHOUT OUTS from the challenge blog Festive Friday.

Hello, my crafty blogging friends.

Did you have a good day?
I certainly had a good time making another Christmas card for this week's color challenge over at Festive Friday.
Another Christmas card? Yes!
I can't stop my love for Christmas cards and it seems that my enthusiasm for making Christmas card has revived. Thanks to FF design teams for such an inspiration.

Here is my last and the third entry to the challenge.

For covering the entire white base, I used gina k's stamp set, Festive Frame. The set has one big frame image that includes oval frame and beautiful poinsettia/pine cones/leaves one on the upper left corner and the other on the lower right corner. It also has some Christmas sentiments that fit in the inside of the oval frame.

Since the stamp set had every images I needed for Christmas card in one big frame, it made my next step much easier. After stamped the frame with memento black ink, I just filled the white space with copic markers.
I colored the frame, flowers, pine cones, and leaves with red, brown, and green. Then, I would like to give highlight on the pine cones with gold glitters. The other point of highlight I made was gold pearl stickers in the center of each poinsettia.

That's it for tonight. Thanks for stopping by my blog.

" May the spirit of
Christmas bring you
Peace,
The gladness of
Christmas give you
Hope,
  The warmth of
Christmas grant you
 Love."

FFC09: Sending Holiday Joy

Good evening.

It is unusual that I am free from the work on Monday evening. My Monday evenings were usually occupied with consulting clients or joining a class that taught psychology. But I have no schedule this evening and that means I am able to ink up my hands and make a super simple card. Yay!

I came up with a really simple and clean card using Jolee's boutique sticker and PTI's Christmas sentiment and light wire image.

Hope it would be acceptable that I added a color blue.

Thanks for visiting my blog and enjoy your Monday evening.

Happy Birthday to EWE

I have one more card to go with the CASology's Furry challenge

This card is for a baby boy who just turned one.
When the birthday boy receives the card I can imagine that he would like to touch the sheep's body and it makes him feel soft and fluffy.

For sheep's body, I punched out the body part with Marvy Uchida's scallop oval punch. Then I filled the inside with some cotton balls and covered the entire body with tissue paper. To give wrinkled texture to the tissue paper I crumpled the paper before covered cotton balls.

Supplies I used for the card,
*stamp: papertrey ink my punny valentine, year round puns mini stamp set.
*ink: dark brown (forgot company's name)
*paper: bazzill textured cardstock
*embelishments: white brads, cotton balls, tissue paper

That's it for today, thanks for stopping by my blog.
Hope you stay cool in these hot days.

Sophia.

Furry...Christmas in June.

Hello crafters there.
It is a very nice Saturday here in New Jersey, well actually it's very hot but good enough to enjoy being outside.

I have two cards that I made for the challenge over at CASology.

The cue word "FURRY" is very challenging to me because I am not a big fan of animal images (even cute dogs and cats) and I think I don't have any of them in my stamp collections. So I almost give up for this time but fortunately enough I rememebered that I made several Christmas cards with this one.

Anyone miss fluffle, a wiked cute fluffy cat from Stampendous? (link google images)

I played with a fluffle hanging on the Chritmas tree instead "deck the hall." She is so ready to be tangled up with the decorated branch in next few seconds.
How do I know?
Look at her curious eyes toward red ornament ball. :D
She must think something fun.

I would like to share one more card that I made using the same stamp but I did not enter this card to the challenge since It wasn't fit for CAS style.

But this is OK for anything goes challenge over at Simon Says Stamp so I'd give it a go.
I also entered this card to the Festive Friday's challenge: FFC09.

Thanks for stopping by my blog. I appreciate your comments.
Hope you have a good weekend.
